Today, I threw a small hissy fit, ate way too many sweets, had about three milkshakes, got demoted to school psychologist, outlined the plot for our book, knitted quite a bit, hacked up eighteen and a half lungs, rescued my silly drunken parents from the opening party, saw a total of three nooses in seperate locations, cried at the lack of three words, sweated quite a bit, rode in a Prius, wrestled loudly with a plunger, took a four-hour nap, coughed quite a bit, and made a sandwich. Not necessarily in that order, of course...

And right now, I'm only online because I can't sleep. And I can't sleep because I took a nap after dinner. And I took a nap after dinner because I've been coughing all day, and it's surprisingly tiring. At least it's better than last night, when I couldn't sleep because I simply couldn't stop coughing long enough to breathe. But tea and milkshakes and naps have been helping, and I'm gonna make sure I'm all better before we leave next week.

Oh, speaking of which! I'm leaving a week from Wednesday. I'll be gone for a month or so. Should be good fun. We're doing a big road trip across the country, all that good stuff. Gonna stop and visit all sorts of people along the way, the ones that my parents haven't talked to since before I was born... That might be awkward, but whatever. This trip is coming at a perfect time for everyone in my family. We've all been going mad here, and all for different reasons-- it's just the perfect time to get away, y'know? I know it'll be good for me. Get my creative juices flowing again, and all that.

But for now, I'm gonna try again for sleep. Because being demoted sucks, and I am too bored to stay awake any longer, anyways.
